LUCKY LANE

On 13th September 2025 over 30 artists took over Lucky Lane in Southville, Bristol, to bring colourful murals to the previously drab and graffited area.

I organised permissions from most of the homeowners - with their go ahead we painted their walls, garages, fences and transformed the lane into a much more welcoming space.

Organisers were myself, Amy McHugh and Patri.

We chose the theme 'luck' and the artists brought their takes on this.

It was a really successful day, we had lots of fun, locals were supportive and we were extremely lucky with the weather!

This event was organised through Bristol Mural Collective and took inspiration from founder Rtiiika's event in Brislington a couple of years previous. BMC are women-led network of mural painters empowering though events, workshops and paint jams.
